Through their limited fundraising abilities and the Rotary Foundation matching grant program, the DenverEphrata Rotary Club was able to provide $5000 towards the purchase of a handicap van for Ephrata Area Social Services (EASS). This van will not only allow for a wheelchair-bound client to be transported, it will also offer expanded transportation services throughout our local area with the additional van
added to the fleet. Shown in the photo from left to right are Gil Ochs; Dave Endy, Rotary President; Randy Goshert; Joy Ashley, EASS Executive Director; and Emerson Paul. EASS provides door-todoor pickups for individuals who have no transportation available, allowing them to get to their doctor appointments, the grocery store, personal care appointments
and in-person access to government services offices. Since 1971, EASS has fostered a tradition of reliability, providing services to those in need living throughout the Northern Lancaster County Hub area. Through good times and bad, there is always a portion of our local population that needs support from organizations that are committed to “Neighbor Helping Neighbor.”
