Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in Akron recently to unveil the new access path to the Rail Trail at Colonial Park. The residents in the community surrounding Colonial Park requested an access path to help those with disabilities have access to the trail, as well as those using strollers or bicycles. A GoFundMe account was set up to raise funds and Melron Industries of Akron generously donated all of the excavation services, which was a huge contribution to seeing this project come to completion. Shown in the photo, from left to right, are Margo Evans, Mayor John McBeth, Justin Evans, Doug Evans, Robin Bingeman, Jeff Lied (Melron owner), Sue Davidson (Akron Borough Manager) and Nathan Imhoff (Akron Borough Council, Parks Committee).
