A roadside stand near Schoeneck was bursting at the seams with fall décor, all arranged around a rustic old farm truck. The owner also offers her original art on slate with positive messages including “Bless the Lord, oh my soul,” “Live, Laugh, Love,” and “Cherish the small things.” Hats off to this wonderful fall display and a talented artist sharing positive messages.

Ephrata electric workers recently placed the downtown Christmas tree and helped decorate the areas unreachable from the ground. Shown in the photo on the right is electric department lineman Jake VanderWal as he places the bow on top of the tree. Some may wonder why the Whistle Stop Train Station and Plaza are beginning to

look a lot like Christmas. As with everything this year, there is no normal, which is so for Ephrata’s Christmas. To prepare for the exciting new Ephrata Christmas event, decorating has begun early to be ready for Santa’s arrival. Mainspring of Ephrata will again host the annual Downtown in Ephrata Christmas Tree Lighting and

Santa’s Arrival on Friday, November 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Blue Ridge 11. This time­honored community tradition will look different as it will be a virtual event, and there will be no public gatherings this year. A magical night full of fun and excitement will be provided for the entire family, right in the comfort of your own home. The
