Volunteers for Terre Hill Christmas in the Park have begun preparing for this year’s event to be held the first two weekends in December. All of the displays used in the event are made over the summer by hand forming, welding,

painting and then attaching light sockets and LED bulbs to steel rods. The team makes about two dozen new pieces each year using nearly 1,000 feet of steel. The event will feature over 100 of the handmade

displays as well as tens of thousands of lights, a nativity display, food vendors, children’s crafts, live music, ice carvings, craft vendors and more. Shown are volunteers hard at work to make this

Volunteers play a huge role in the success of their day today operations. They help with everything from stocking the food pantry shelves, to the Meals on Wheels program, trans portation to doctor appoint ments, grocery store visits and other needed services. Shown in the photo is volunteer Jeff Barnett who is just one of many who give of their time and talents to make a difference for others in the community. Jeff not only volunteers there, but he has in corporated his love of gardening into creating noticeable enhancements to the exterior. These enhance

ments lift the spirits of not only those utilizing services at E.A.S.S., but everyone who passes by and

appreciates the uplifting display. Jeff encourages anyone thinking of vol unteering at E.A.S.S. to
