Ephrata High School students are taking their artwork beyond the walls of the classroom as part of a collaborative project between the Ephrata Development Organization (EDO), Millersville University and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. In conjunction with the revitalization efforts of EDO, students are working with Katie Trainer, a regional award-winning muralist, to create seven murals to be displayed in the Whistle Stop Plaza. Students collaboratively

brainstormed ideas before deciding on a theme that will incorporate a variety of sights seen when traveling on a train, a theme fitting for the former Ephrata train station where the murals will be displayed. Over 30 Ephrata High School students and four teachers are seeing the entire project through completion, from cutting and priming the wood panels to sketching, painting, and displaying the murals. Eberbach Students Receive A Warm Welcome To America
