Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Garden Spot High School held an assembly for 9th grade students with Jay Blake and the Follow A Dream NHRA Team. Follow A Dream’s owner and crew chief, Jay Blake, is totally blind. Jay lost his eyesight in a tire explosion over 19 years ago, but he did not lose his positive attitude on life, nor his desire to pursue his dreams. Jay had always wanted to form his own race team, and in spite of his serious setback, he continued to focus on his goals. Jay shares with students the important life values of a positive attitude, education and pursuing their dreams with a passion. The Follow A Dream team participated in the NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway. Shown are students listening to Jay talk about the car.
