Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese The 102nd annual Ephrata Fair was well worth the wait, as crowds turned out in large numbers to enjoy the great food, entertainment, displays and parade. The weather was great except for a rainy Thursday, but everyone was grateful the fair organizers made the call to proceed with the parade! Shown in the photos, clockwise starting in the top right, are: Allen Nace leaning way back to balance on the teeter totter; a dazzling Disney-themed float created by Amvets Post 136; Dairy Princesses (left to right) Kristin Johns - Alternate, Katerina Coffman - Alternate, and Gabrielle Swavely - Pennsylvania Dairy Princess; Kevin Deemer, Ephrata Intermediate School Principal, holding the bucket for Jennifer Barnabei, Ephrata Intermediate School Assistant Principal, during the cow milking competition; a very creative decorated vegetable display by Chris Weaver; a beautiful presentation of vegetables by Joy Richard; three young men demonstrating their skills during the swine competition; and a colorful midway bustling with activity.
