Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese The Swiss Pioneer Preservation Association held their annual Big Spring Farm Days recently with hundreds attending this educational and exciting event. The two-day event included live demonstrations of traditional threshing and harvesting methods using restored antique and vintage tools. There was hay making, threshing and countless displays offering insights into the past. One of the highlights of the weekend event is the Antique Tractor and Wagon Parade, which meanders through the crowd and property, allowing visitors an up-close view of equipment from the past – which even included a Conestoga wagon this year. Shown are visitors watching a live demonstration of an old-time threshing machine.
