National Night Out Celebration Draws Large Crowd In New Holland Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Millions of neighbors took part in National Night Out across the country this past week. National Night Out is an annual communitybuild ing campaign that promotes policecommunity partner ships and neighborhood connections to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. There were several events held in communities within Lanc aster County, and thanks to perfect weather there were hundreds in attendance at each location. New Holland Community Park was one National Night Out location that drew a rather large crowd, eager to see and interact with local law enforcement, emergency ser vices, as well as lots of games, good food and entertainment. Shown in the photos, clockwise from top left are: kids eagerly awaiting free snow cones, Lancaster County Prison staff giving a K9 demonstration, members of Lancaster County Police SERT as they share the tools used in their work, and countless families enjoying time as a community.
