Families got the opportunity to get into the drivers seat in everything from a police cruiser to a fire truck, a large tractor, a recovery vehicle and more. Kids could explore the vehicles, honk the horn, pose for photos and imagine they were driving. Shown is a family of five as they explore the vehicles.
Rothsville Community Day Mark your calendars for the 18th annual Rothsville Community Day to be held Saturday, September 21 at Forney Field, Church
Street, Rothsville. The day will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with a 5K Fun Run/Walk sponsored by Wellspan Family and Pediatric Medicine-Rothsville. Registration for the run begins at 9:00 a.m. at Forney Field. Proceeds from the registration fee will benefit Wellspan’s “Prescription
for Caring” program, which provides assistance for those who cannot afford vital medications. Free events of the day will include kid’s games and activities, an egg toss, a wheelbarrow race, a three-legged race and food. The popular helicopter
candy drop, sponsored by the Rothsville Ambulance Association, will take place at 10:45 a.m. The barrel train ride and bounce house will be returning. In the afternoon character juggler Chris Ivey will astound attendees with his award winning juggling. Door prizes from local businesses will be given
away throughout the day. The event is sponsored by Rothsville area churches (Jerusalem Lutheran, Millport Mennonite, St. Paul’s E.C. and Salem United Methodist), in conjunction with the Rothsville Fire Company and the Rothsville Ambulance Association.
Lititz Park Welcomes Indian-American Fusion Community Festival
Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Hundreds of local residents turned out to take part in the Indian-American Fusion Group of Lancaster’s Community Festival in the Lititz Springs Park. Visitors could sample great food, peruse vendors, enjoy entertainment and much more. The park stage was busy all day with a variety of dance and musical performances, which culminated in an invitation for the public to come on stage and learn a few dances. Shown are attendees having a great time.
