Entertainment includes the Fabulous 60s Revival Band, songwriter Cristin Germaine, and the DKers juggling team. Pioneer Fire Company Open House Offers Safety Tips And Family Fun Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese The Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company held its annual Open House this past week and a large crowd of adults and children turned out to enjoy the evening. All of the station equipment was on display and there was good food, drinks and free ice cream for all. Numerous fire company volunteers were on hand to offer safety tips and explain equipment as well as answer any questions. Children had the opportunity to climb into the fire engines, learn fire safety in the smoke house and were even given the chance to operate a small fire hose. Shown enjoying the great event (clockwise starting top left) are: Noah, Adam, Ryan and Kimberlynn Weber of Ephrata checking out a rescue boat; Kamren Landis enjoying some delicious ice cream while he dreams of being a future fireman; one lucky individual riding on the ladder truck; and a volunteer helping a boy soak his friends.
