This Amish farm along Hackman Road in Ephrata tragically burned to the ground recently, but the local Amish community quickly rallied and had the structure rebuilt in a matter of several days. Every person on site has a job and is committed to doing their part to ensure work is done in the most efficient and proper way. Ephrata Concert Band Performance Selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera” will be part of a diverse concert program that the Ephrata Concert
Band will perform Sunday, June 26 at Ephrata Borough’s Grater Park. Martin Hinkley will conduct the concert starting at 7:15 p.m. at the park band shell at the foot of Cocalico Street. The public is urged to bring folding chairs. In the event of inclement weather,
the concert will be moved inside the Ephrata Recreation Center a few blocks away at 130 South Academy Drive. After playing “The Star Spangled Banner” and the opening march, Henry Fillmore’s “The Klaxon,” the band will play the featured music from Webber’s
1986 musical. Also in the first half of the program will be music from 19th century composer Antonin Dvorak’s “From the New World” symphony; the waltz “Moonlight on the Hudson”; Paul Yoder’s “Circus Parade”; music from (Continued On Page 2A)

Approximately 80 runners signed up for the event that ran from Ephrata to Akron and back on the Linear Trail.
