Just in time for Memorial Day, the “Ephrata Honors” banners were hung in downtown Ephrata along Main Street and State Street. These banners honor the many loved ones who served or currently serve in the United States Armed Forces.
The program was a fundraiser sponsored by the Ephrata Community Events Committee and the Cocalico Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3376 (Ephrata VFW). All of the proceeds from this program will support many veterans’ assistance programs, which are sponsored by Cocalico

Akron Day In The Park Planned For Community
SATURDAY, JUNE 2 Garden Spot Village, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, will host Musical Memories from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., for individuals with Alzheimer’s or Dementia and their caregiver. For more information or to register, call 717-355-6500.
SATURDAY, JUNE 2 Zion’s Reformed U.C.C. Church, 1356 Apple Street, Ephrata, will host a free Community Movie Night showing “Paddington” at 8:30 p.m. Bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on. Rain or shine.
SUNDAY, JUNE 3 Weaverland Church, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl, will host the Clair Good Family in concert at 7:00 p.m. An offering will be received.
The Akron Lions Club and The Axle Snappers Car Club invite the community to come out and enjoy Akron Day in the Park on Saturday, June 9 from 11:30 a.m.
