Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Brecknock Elementary School held their 9th Annual Day of Service in honor of Mrs. Lisa Horning, former Brecknock teacher. For years Mrs. Horning encouraged her students to show compassion for others by supporting organizations that helped people in need. For one day, the students and staff at Brecknock united to support The Northeastern Lancaster County Food Bank. As part of this special day, students painted rocks that were donated by Winning Touch Nursery and the rocks, in a multitude of colors, were then placed as a border around the school flowerbeds. Many of the rocks included positive words of encouragement. Shown are students placing the rocks.
