Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Spring has been a roller coaster of temperature fluctuations, but despite that, one thing you can always count on is the magnificent display of color and beauty that we are blessed with each year! A variety of hues and aromatic scents delight the senses. Our photographer took this image at Long’s Park in Lancaster and noted that he waited an hour and a half until everyone else left to ensure that no cars would ruin this scene. An exposure of 30 seconds allowed the park lights to add a touch of warmth, and the details were revealed as night took hold.

The Cocalico Creek Watershed Association recently partnered with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay to install a large riparian buffer, which is a stream-

side tree planting, at the Brilyn Acres farm along Millway Road in Ephrata. Dozens of local volunteers turned out to help plant around 750 trees, which

included 350 trees planted by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, and 400 trees by the Cocalico Creek Watershed Association, with assistance from
