Ephrata High School students will perform “Little Shop Of Horrors” for their spring musical this year live in front of a limited audience on Thursday, March 18, Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20

at 7:00 p.m. All seats are reserved and tickets must be purchased online in advance. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Patrons must comply with all mask and social distancing CDC guidelines while attending

these performances. If you are unable to attend the live showing, the musical can also be streamed from the comfort of your own home on Friday, April 2, Saturday, April 3 or Sunday, April 4

Local Army veteran Paul Shober of Ephrata turned 100 years old this past week and a wonderful celebration was planned by family and friends. Members of the Ephrata VFW helped organize the placement of 100 flags in his yard, as well as, a parade of cars and

police vehicles led by mayor Ralph Mowen that drove by as Paul sat on the porch to take it all in. Several members of “Blankets of Honor” also stopped to present Paul with a beautiful Army blanket for his service to our country. According to Paul’s son Mike, he

was quite surprised at the recognition and will cherish his blanket. He has received over 300 cards from all over the United States wishing him a “Happy 100th.” Paul worked as a plumber and said he never had a bad day. He has four children:
