Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese For the third year, Blue Ridge Communications hosted the “Touch a Heart” campaign to send Valentine’s Day cards of gratitude to military members at home and abroad. Recently the Ephrata Public Library staff joined Ephrata Manor staff and residents to express their appreciation to those making sacrifices on behalf of our nation. “No matter how old you are, it is a reminder to always express gratitude to our service men and women,” said Rebecca Lawrence, Manager of Public Programs and Outreach at the Ephrata Public Library, as they made cards together with residents. “We identify with the mission of Blue Ridge Communication’s ‘Touch a Heart’ project and will help to exceed their goal of 1,750 cards. Working with our patrons at our satellite library today at Ephrata Manor was a perfect partnership opportunity.” Shown are residents of Ephrata Manor being assisted by Michelle Cisney (aid) as they create cards for this event.
