Peter’s Porch (part of Faith United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denver) is conducting their fourth Souper Bowl food drive for their hunger ministry and is working with Weaver Markets on Friday and Saturday, February 1 and 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They will have the drive themed

for the big game and have the Cocalico Football Team and other area churches helping in the effort. The food they raise is also part of another effort to educate others about this resource, and thereby help families plus teach about the issues of hunger in this area. This event is one that makes a difference

Akron Elementary Fourth Grade Grocery Shopping Benefit

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2 Bluegrass Music will be held at the Reinholds Fire Company, 138 West Main St., Reinholds, featuring “Canaan’s Land” and “Summit Hill.” Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Music starts at 6:00 p.m. There is a donation cost. For more info., call 610-5730797.

Students learned about smart spending and got to use their math knowledge to calculate expenditures.
