Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese The History Department at Garden Spot High School held a Vietnam Veterans day recently for students to hear directly from veterans about their experiences and also see artifacts from the war that they had brought with them. The group of veterans visiting included numerous members of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1008. This group of individuals encompasses all branches of the military and offers real insight into the war for the students to learn from. Any question the students want to ask is encouraged and both parties benefit in a positive way from the experience. Shown are veterans Ed Bookman, Ron Horn and Steve Hughes as they talk about many of the items on display from the war.
