Students collected pledges for a fourhour reading event and the students collected close to $1,000 to buy food for EASS. Students used math skills to estimate their purchasing power and stick to their budget. Shown are students in a united effort to make a difference for others while shopping at Weiser’s Market.
Reinholds VFW Post 6759 Supports Keystone Military Families
SATURDAY, JANUARY 6 Smokestown Fire Company, 860 Smokestown Road, Denver, will hold a Haus and Pinochle Card Party at 7:00 p.m. For more information, call 717 3362687.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 6 A Bluegrass program featuring “Remington Ryde” will be held at the Reinholds Fire Company Banquet Hall, 138 Main Street, Reinholds. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Music begins at 6:00 p.m. Food is available. There is a donation cost.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 7 The Baron Stiegel Lions Club of Clay and Elizabeth Townships will hold a Buffet Breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brickerville Fire Hall, located on Hopeland Road and Route 322. There is a cost. For more information, call Cindy Roof at 7179406927.
The Reinholds VFW Post 6759 was able to donate 79 boxes and $12,000 to Stockings for Soldiers this year. The support received from the community and their
patrons allowed them to collect these items and raise almost $8,000. A special thank you to all who donated items, attended bingos and contributed cash donations. The
