Ephrata VFW Reunites Family With Brother’s Remains

SATURDAY, JANUARY 5 Bluegrass Music will be held at the Reinholds Fire Company, 138 West Main Street, Reinholds, featuring “Remington Ryde.” Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Music starts at 6:00 p.m. There is a donation cost. For more information, call 610­ 573­0797.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 6 The Baron Stiegel Lions Club of Clay and Elizabeth Townships will hold a “Buffet Breakfast and Sub Sale” from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brickerville Fire Hall, located on Hopeland Road at Route 322. On Wednesday, November 21, a gentleman came to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Ephrata and spoke to an employee. He told him that he lives nearby but had been working at a construction site in Delaware. At this construction

site, he found what looked like remains in an urn. He knew these remains did not belong there and read the plaque which included emblems from the United States Navy and the U.S.S. Saratoga. When he returned home to
