BEHIND THE SCENES

Last year, we sowed the seed that was Sherborne Qatar Primary School for Girls. This year, we continue to share the journey with you as we expand. We are now witnessing the growth of this seed has into a mighty tree as we open secondary classes and lovingly welcome our older girls into the Arabic department, where they study the three mandatory subjects (Arabic Language, Islamic Studies and Qatar History) in Years 7-9 according to the Ministry’s Curriculum. Our Year 10 students began studying for the IGCSE certificate in Arabic as a First Language, because we are keen to provide every opportunity for our girls to achieve internationally recognized certifications. Throughout this year, we have been keen to incorporate the latest teaching and most varied teaching methods tailored to each individual student just as we have effectively supported our girls who are striving to improve their standards in all subjects, especially in the Arabic Language.

Sherborne Qatar School for Girls has succeeded in becoming a safe space for our daughters; where positive relationships and co-operation exist between teachers and students. This is reflected in the excellent relationship we have with parents who are constantly updated on all our learning and extra-curricular activities in a timely fashion.
