We had our first Creativity and Innovation day which was an incredible success. The aim of the day was to showcase STEM to our parents through products the children had made. Also, we aimed to raise money for Prae Mis, a school which we support in Cambodia. We managed to raise an incredible QAR 13,799 which was amazing, and parents had a lovely morning viewing the items.
Children from Primary created items related to their Enquiry topics. We had some wonderful products including; t-shirts, candle holders, games, bee-hotels, bookmarks, jars, coasters and art work.

The children in secondary used their own ideas to create products which integrated aspects of their STEM education and learning. They designed and made wonderful items including; bags, art work, self-sustaining environments, bookmarks, bracelets and necklaces, plants and plant pots, as well as the hugely successful photo booth.
The girls really enjoyed making the products, and viewing what everyone else had made. Here is what they had to say about the day:

“My favourite thing was making the tea-lights with our own hands.” Aisha E, Year 3
“I really enjoyed Year 10’s photo booth, it was really fun!” Muneera, Year 4
“When we went around and saw everyone’s stuff and took a group photo.” Noor, Year 5A
“I enjoyed making Tsunami art.” Safya, Year 6
“Best part was showing my parents my projects that I created in STEM lessons.”Mashal Year 7

“I really liked working with my friends to run the photobooth. It had its challenges, but we enjoyed working as a team.” Noora Year 10
We thank you very much for your support and help in making this event so successful!
