The Support Team At Sqsfg

Every day of the school year teachers arrive early ready to greet your daughters and plan for the lessons that lay ahead. Teachers and teaching assistants are at the forefront of our education and interact directly with pupils and parents.

However, ‘behind the scenes’ there is another team of people, an army of twenty nine women and men on site at SQSFG who tirelessly strive to support and facilitate every aspect of school life. These staff members ensure that the school: is clean, secure, has electricity, water, drainage, adequate furniture, resources enough for every class, and is ready to accept pupils and staff daily into a productive, effective, learning environment. Along with the wider Sherborne Qatar Bursary Team at Sherborne Senior School their efforts often go unnoticed but we would like to recognize the amazing work they do for us.

Imasha Wijesinghe, our Premises Officer (see photo below) and her team work throughout the year with the Headmistress, the SQSFG Senior Leadership, and the wider Sherborne Qatar Bursary Team to ensure that teachers are fully supported and our pupils receive the best educational offering possible. Our male members of staff enter the building once the pupils have left and prepare everything for the next day of school.

At the ‘front of the school’ we have four ladies working in administrative roles at SQSFG: Fanar Hamadeh and Shirin Vahab are our school secretaries; Dina Ahmed is our Admissions Officer and Kaila Taduran our Finance Officer. They are the ladies that parents are likely to speak to if they phone the school.

The teaching staff and Senior Leadership Team of SQSFG would like to thank our on-site support staff together with the wider Sherborne Qatar Bursary Team at Sherborne Senior School for the hard work they do.
