ARABIC DEPARTMENT

The Arabic Department in Sherborne Qatar School for Girls is our second home. We spend the happiest moments and the most enjoyable school learning experiences with the girls. It is during these moments that we exchange and benefit from all the knowledge in Arabic, Islamic studies, and Qatar history, to which we follow the curriculum and the times specified by the ministry of education (4 hours for Arabic, 2 hours for Islamic S. and 1 hour for QH).

In early and primary years, there has been an expansion in the methods and strategies used to convey knowledge to the girls. The most important ones have been learning through games, role-playing, storytelling, and the use of technology mainly through the “Kutubee” platform.

During our online learning, the girls showed lots of resilience and worked very independently demonstrating our School Values. Implementing these new ways of studying the Arabic language has proven fruitful when examining the progress, the girls have made.

I am very proud of the level the girls have achieved and I wish them continued excellence and success in the coming years. This year has been a truly wonderful and was filled with lots of love, laughter and joy.
