“Take care of yourself. Use all the support you can. Don’t turn down a hug, and be kind to your-
self because what you’re going through is the hardest thing you’ll ever have to go through.” These are words of wisdom offered by breast cancer survivor Brenda Goodvin of Lenox to those who also find themselves
locked in a battle with cancer, the second leading cause of death in the U.S. It was March 2011 when Goodvin received the diagnosis that would forever change her life. “I had breast cancer,” said Goodvin, one of two honorary survivors at GOODVIN | 2c

For Joe Owens, his entire life is in God’s hands, including several bouts of cancer he’s had since 2008 and his current cancer-free status.
