ICPI Technical Resources Project owners, design professionals, and contractors come to www.icpi.org to obtain the latest technical resources. They are supported by a library of over 1,900 technical papers and member experience in design, construction and maintenance of interlocking concrete pavements, permeable interlocking concrete pavements, paving slabs, and concrete grid pavements. Guidance on best practices are found in 23 Tech Spec technical bulletins, 32 guide construction specifications, over 90 detail drawings, and design guides for patios, driveways, plazas, roof decks, alleys, streets, industrial, port and airport pavements.

www.icpi.org also features free software for structural design of interlocking concrete pavements. Software is also available for structural and hydrologic design of permeable interlocking concrete pavements, as well as life-cycle cost analysis programs to help demonstrate superior cost performance compared to conventional pavements. ICPI has developed and enhance several ASTM standards on paving products and test methods for interlocking concrete pavers, paving slabs and grid pavements. In addition, ASCE has published design standards for interlocking and permeable interlocking concrete pavements. A third ASCE standard is underway on design of concrete paving slabs. ICPI members and staff support the ICPI Foundation, ICPI’s sister association, which has funded over $1.6 million in research and education programs since 2006. Research deliverables including technical reports provide support for use of segmental concrete pavements as well as more clearly define paving system limitations.
