IMPACT
In the legal department, our core principle is to contribute to the overall support that SEPA Mujer offers to the immigrant community. Along with other programs available at SEPA Mujer, like rental or cash assistance, the legal team focuses on providing proper legal representation in possible immigration remedies available to those in need. As our team grows, we expect to continue to expand our services and widen our reach in Long Island.
OUR MATTERS
GROWTH IN CASELOAD
This year the SEPA Mujer's legal team is proud to say that it has assisted low-income immigrants in more legal matters than ever before. In 2021, SEPA Mujer assisted in over 200 legal issues. Among these issues were DACA, Family Based Petitions, and more.
Our caseload slightly decreased in 2020 due to the COVID19 pandemic, however this year (2021) our caseload has more than doubled! 200
