2021 Victim Assistance Program

Funded by the New York State Office of Victim Services, our Victim Assistance Program offers immigration case relief, a sexual assault survivors support group and a 24/7 Spanish language hotline aiming to help victims of gender-based violence, hate crimes, and wage theft. Additionally, as a part of the Victim Assistance Program victims have a case manager that will connect them to other resources if necessary or help them with a victim's compensation application if eligible. Our Ayuda Latina hotline volunteers have received over 40 hours of training in crisis intervention, providing emotional support, active listening as well as all the aforementioned crimes in the program's description. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, the hotline expanded to help callers who were affected by the pandemic as well. Callers to the Ayuda Latina hotline are provided with food pantry information, testing sites, mental health resources, and other COVID-19 related resources.
