Summer Missions Trips Connor is Going to Jackson, Mississippi Last summer I was able to go to San Francisco and help the homeless living there. It really helped me grow in my faith and I think that we were really able to touch some peoples’ lives too. Let me know if you want to hear more about last summer but I am excited right now about what is ahead. This summer I have another opportunity. My church, Berean Baptist of Burnsville, MN, is sending a group of senior high students to Jackson, Mississippi and I would really like to be able to go with them. We are going to Jackson from July 28th- Aug 4th. The plan is to drive there in the church vans which should take about 17 hours each way! Once we are there we will be partnering with Youthworks as we try to share the gospel and help reduce the racial tensions. This trip is going to be a lot of work both physically and emotionally. I know that the other students and I can’t do it alone but with the Holy Spirit and encouraging partners, we will be able to serve God and serve people. In order to go, I need $550 more than I have already contributed. I need people who will pray for me and also provide financial support. Would you consider partnering with me as I go? Ian is Going to Lake Traverse Indian Reservation in South Dakota This summer, from June 10-15, the seventh graders from my church, Berean Baptist of Burnsville, MN is going to Lake Traverse, SD. While there, we will be helping the people who live on the Indian reservation with painting and repairs to their houses & yard and doing VBS type activities with the young children. Last year when Connor returned from his missions trip to San Francisco, I was impressed by the stories he told about helping others and the way it changed him. I would like to impact other people’s lives the way he did and would like to have my own life impacted, too! I feel like this would be a really good experience for me and my friends. For me to be able to go, I need to raise $450 more than I have already contributed. More importantly, for me to be effective, I need people praying for me, my friends, and the work God will do through us and in us.
