Dominican Republic Missions Report Ian, Lily and Mike Thank You Thank you for partnering with us as we served Valiant Mission Church near Moca, Dominican Republic. There were almost forty of us from Berean Student Ministries who lived and worked in an impoverished neighborhood for a week, encouraging the local church and pointing residents toward Christ. We’ll share some highlights with you so that you know how God used your prayer and financial sup-

Drama Ian and Lily were part of a team who presented the Everything Skit. In it, Ian played the role of Jesus who is seen creating a girl and the world around her. Lily played that girl who enjoys her relationship with Jesus but is then pulled away by the temptations of the world. It’s the story of Jesus fighting for us. It turned out, there was a battle taking place just to perform the skit! The first attack came when one of the cast members broke her leg the day before the first performance. Lily was then attacked with anxiety and exhaustion. Finally, Ian’s stomach was so sick, he had trouble standing.. Performing for the Youth Outreach service was uncertain! Praise God, though, that He was victorious! Another student filled in for the injured one and both Lily and Ian were given strength to perform. The drama spoke loudly to both our team and those in the community. The team was able to perform it two more times. They even left their costumes behind because the pastor hopes to recreate the skit!

Testimonies Several people on our team had the opportunity to share their testimonies in front of large groups. Mike shared his during two of the VBS craft sessions as did Ian. Ian was then asked to share his a third time for those at the church’s weekly Bible study. The core of Ian’s testimony revolves around some events related to our family’s missionary service in Croatia. It’s exciting for us to see that story spread to another country.
