What an incredible year it has been since we reopened in a post-Covid world. The bad news and the sad news continued to fill our lives, so we put even more effort into our programme to try and bring a little cheer into everyone’s life.
Nobody could have forgotten the side-splittingly funny Le Navet Bete with their performance of Dracula: The Bloody Truth, and children’s theatre Boo to a Goose had everyone up and dancing to the Hornpipe.
But the summer days are disappearing over the horizon as autumn makes a sudden chilly appearance, bringing with it the beautiful burnished shades of gold and brown. We are bringing a glowing pumpkin rich and winter-warming selection of entertainment, including plenty of Halloween fun during Half Term; look out for our ever popular town train with a spooky twist, and ghoulish film as well as the Hot Rock Production’s Halloween Party.
We have a fabulous selection of on-screen entertainment, including ballets, with that Christmas classic, the Nutcracker, the Royal Opera and National Theatre Live. Our unique and incredibly popular Film Picnic Nights are bringing Fisherman’s Friends as well as Mrs Harris Goes to Paris.
If you are looking for some classy smooth songs to sooth you into the evening with your other half, then we have the Magnificent Buble and his 12 piece band.
Our family pantomime this year is Dick Whittington , oh yes it is! Then to round off 2022, come along to our New Year’s Eve Party with the Zoots headlining followed by a DJ who will take us into the New Year with all your favourite dance floor hits.

The Gateway is excited to welcome back the amazing Riviera Dogs, a 5 piece band based in South West England who deliver quality music from the decade that taste forgot. They are guaranteed to keep you dancing all night!
Now the 80s and 90s were responsible for some truly awful stuff. Neon. Shoulder pads. Mullets. But despite the questionable fashion choices and horrendous hair you have to admit that were some great tunes and memorable movies.
The band have all performed in some of the most popular and longest running bands in the area but wanted to do something different; to play the music that they loved in their teens, to tackle some more difficult stuff and to have a good time. Not the easy ones, not the obvious ones, but the ones that will make you go "oh, I remember this...." and will probably lead to gyrating of the trousers and possibly full blown 'dad dancing'.
If you have seen them before then we know you are ready to see them again, if its your first time then you won't be disappointed ...
