ased on the 1937 novel by Agatha Christie, “Death on the Nile” is a daring mystery-thriller directed by Kenneth Branagh about the emotional chaos and deadly consequences triggered by obsessive love.

Detective Hercule Poirot turns to Egypt where he must work out who killed a young heiress. Kenneth Branagh becomes Poirot again, directing and starring alongside Gal Gadot, Letitia Wright and Armie Hammer in this adaptation of Agatha Christie’s mystery novel of the same name and sequel to 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express. Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement. Kenneth Branagh ( All Is True, Dunkirk ), whose accolades include BAFTA and Emmy wins and Oscar and Golden Globe nominations, directs this sequel to 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express . He’ll be stepping into the role of Poirot again. Among his suspects are Gal Gadot ( Ralph Breaks the Internet , Wonder Woman), BAFTA winner and Emmy nominee Letitia Wright ( Avengers: Endgame , Black Panther ) and Golden Globe nominee Armie Hammer ( Cars 3 , Call Me by Your Name).
