- Furthermore, only 9% of plastic beauty waste is actually recycled 3
Once these plastics have reached the end of their life, they end up in landfill and contribute the microplastics crisis, contaminating our oceans and environment for generations to come.
It’s a challenge the industry needs to address
Think of traditional glass milk-bottles or steel beer barrels and how this packaging is continually reused without plastic waste.
We’ve taken this concept and provide spa-quality products in metal & glass reusable containers, which we collect for free and reuse again and again
How it works:
Step 1: Orders dispatched from SE-LF within 2-3 working days
Step 2: Upon delivery, remove your products and package your used empty containers back into the same box
Step 3: Scan the pre-printed label provided and arrange a Royal Mail collection at a convenient time for you.
SE-LF then reuses these containers, ensuring they are managed and cleaned to the highest professional cosmetic standards.
Whilst reusing our main packaging is a great way to reduce our environmental impact, we also continuously work to ensure any non-reusable items, such as boxes and labels are recyclable and sustainably sourced where possible.
We also partner with Carbon Neutral Britain, supporting UN standard tree planting schemes to offset any carbon we do generate as a business.
In 2023 alone, we planted 750 trees (equivalent to 3 acres) and we can proudly declare ourselves Carbon Neutral Certified
We ensure the highest quality of professional blended massage oils, formulated to have a rich, luxurious texture as well as beautiful and balanced aromas. All designed to leave your clients skin feeling soft and supple to the touch.
All produced in the UK, our massage oils are both Vegan and Naturally Derived.
Our innovative reusable containers help to massively reduce the environmental impact the spa-industry has on the planet. However, we also go one stage further by ensuring our business is also Carbon Neutral Certified.
Our 3 fragranced oils are all individually blended featuring Soya Bean, Wheatgerm and Jojoba extracts alongside an array of natural essential oils.

We also have a FRAGRANCE-FREE & WATER DISPERSIBLE option featuring Sunflower Seed Extract, Sweet Almond Oil and Coconut Oil, alongside Natural Vitamin E and a Sugar-Derived Emulsifier. This has the added benefit of being incredibly easy to rinse from towels and clothing.
Combine our massage oils with our Trio Salt Blend (See Page 13) to create your own handmade body scrubs or body buffs.
Clay muds are known to offer powerful detoxification, drawing out impurities from the body whilst stimulating blood and lymphatic circulation, removing dead skin cells, as well as toning and strengthening connective tissues to leave skin smooth and radiant.
We ensure all these products are Carbon Neutral Certified, Naturally Derived and Vegan Friendly.
FRENCH CLAY MUDS contain varying natural blends of Montmorillonite, Illite & Kaolin which are rich in minerals such as potassium, magnesium & iron; so perfect for detoxification.
Montmorillonite is a great absorber, making ideal for areas of oily skin.
Illite is a particle which doesn’t swell and therefore is ideal for areas of dry skin, where we want the body to retain moisture. Kaolin is an incredibly fine particle, meaning it is amazing for areas of sensitive skin.
We offer 3 variants of our French Clay Mud:
- PINK contains a mixture of Montmorillonite & Illite - Great for oily skin
- GREEN contains all three - Great All-rounder
- YELLOW contains a mixture of Illite & Kaolin - Great for dry skin
- BRITISH WHITE KAOLIN is purely what it says and contains the finest particles within our range, ideal for the most sensitive skin on the body and face.
This product is only available in 500g or 5kg dry powder and is mixed 1 part water with 2 parts powder
Note: The darker the clay, the more natural pigment. This means it may stain grouting or towels if not cleaned adequately.
Rasul
This can be performed by a therapist or the guest themselves. The skin should be cleansed to remove any excess sweat, SPF or product build up. We recommend at this stage using our body scrub treatment (see next page) to help thoroughly clean the skin whilst also removing any dead skin cells, allowing the minerals within the clay mud to penetrate more effectively. Then, apply a liberal layer of the desired pre-mixed clay mud to the body (see our suggestions on the previous page). We recommend leaving the mud to steam in the Rasul chamber for up to 20minutes before rinsing off with cold water thoroughly.
Facial Mask
Our British White Kaolin is perfect to use within facial treatments, poolside or within relaxation zones as a facial mask. Simply apply a liberal layer to the face (avoiding the eyes) and leave for 10-20minutes before rinsing with water.
Foot Exfoliation
Mix a small scoop of our Trio Salt Blend (Epsom, Himalayan & Dead Sea), with our French Green clay muds to create an exfoliating foot treatment. Apply to the feet and massage in, focusing particularly on areas of dry skin. Leave the mud to set for 10-20minutes and then rinse with cold water.
Body Wrap
The high % of Montmorillonite within our French Pink Clay Mud makes it perfect for detoxifying body wrap treatments. Follow the same process as the Rasul above, but instead of using a chamber, simply wrap the body in either biodegradable wrap or linen sheets for up 20 minutes.
One of our most versatile products, this dry blend of Epsom, Dead Sea and Himalayan salts, each having it’s own different chemical composition and bringing with it different minerals to help support your body and skin’s natural health. The three salts also have different shapes and structures, meaning this mixed blend helps to exfoliate the skin much more effectively than a single salt alone.
This product can be used for the following:
Body Scrub & Body Buffing:
Using this product as a body scrub is the perfect way to remove our SE-LF Clay Muds as part of your Rasul or Body Wrap Treatment. Simply mix 100g of salt with 20g of your chosen SE-LF Massage Oil. Apply to the skin and exfoliate thoroughly. Alternatively, mix with just 10g of oil for a drier buffing experience.
Bath or Foot Soak:
For a relaxing bath or foot soak, pour 100g-250g of salt into warm water (37-39C) and soak for at least 20minutes. For a muscle soothing bath experience, use 500g of salt.
Foot Exfoliation Treatment:
This can be a stand alone treatment or as a follow-up to the foot soak above. Mix a small scoop of our Trio Salt Blend (Epsom, Himalayan & Dead Sea), with our SE-LF Moroccan Dark or French Green clay muds to create an exfoliating foot treatment. Apply to the feet and massage in, focusing particularly on areas of dry skin. Leave the mud to set for 10-20minutes and then rinse with cold water.

This is our pre-mixed version of the Body Scrub treatment on the last page. We combine our incredible Massage Oil blends with the Dry Trio Salt to create this beautiful product.
The three different salts create an exfoliation like no other, and the natural minerals and oils feed the skin along the way. Skin feels refreshed, bright and soft to the touch.

Our Essential Oils are carefully crafted in the UK with a blend of at least five 100% pure natural essential oils; perfect for a variety of athome and professional uses:
Rasul & Body Wrap Treatments:
Mix 4-6 drops of Essential Oil with every 100g of SE-LF Clay Mud
Bath Salts or Foot-bath:
Mix 6-8 drops of Essential Oil with at least 100g of SE-LF Trio Salt Blend and stir into warm water until dissolved
Vaporiser or Oil Burner:
Add 6 drops of Essential Oil
Facial Compress:
Add 4-5 drops to a bowl of warm or cold water, soak a clean cloth and apply as desired
Inhalation:
Add 4 drops of Essential Oil to a bowl of just-boiled water. With a towel over the head, lean over the bowl, or place underneath a client who is laying face down on a massage table. Breathe in normally for up to 10 minutes.

To say that SE-LF is a passion project of mine would be huge understatement. This business is a reflection of who I am, the experiences I have had and the values I hold.
I truly believe that skincare has the ability to not only transform your body, but it can have huge benefits to your mind and wellbeing too. Skincare is sensory and ritualistic in it’s nature. It has aromas, textures, routines and experiences; and these are all fundamental aspects of all wellbeing practises. Nowhere is this more true than in a spa.
But the spa industry, and the beauty industry as a whole has a dirty little secret. It’s a major
contributer to plastic waste and simply using recyclable materials, that mostly don’t actually get recycled, isn’t good enough.
That’s why SE-LF takes on the cost and the effort to collect your empty packaging; then clean and reuse it where possible, and ensure everything else is recycled correctly.
It’s also why we invest in our tree planting partnership with Carbon Neutral Britain to offset our CO2 impact.
