There are plenty of great things that the City of Burke enjoys, one of which is the annual Burke Stampede Rodeo which will be a professional rodeo this year (and will be televised on the Cowboy Channel) will be held the weekend of July 16-18. Also coming up is the Burke hometown celebration that features a street dance, parade, alumni banquet, and golf tournament. This year, the celebration, known as Dog Days, is August 6-8. Come out and support this wonderful community and see what makes their HOMETOWN great!

Burke’s renovated Civic Center

There is also a “fun” project taking place in Burke. The city has been awarded a grant to help with an upgrade to the city park that will include a splash pad to help cool off on those hot summer days. A new pavilion is also in the plans as the community uses the city park for farmers markets on Thursdays during the summer. New trees, a revised parking lot, potential camping spots, and a 1/8th mile walk path loop are in the plans for the City Park improvements.
