A Fundraising Challenge for the Children of the Fallen


The Challenge: A physically demanding fundraising challenge aimed at regular fitness enthusiasts, the CrossFit community and our Armed Forces personnel. Participants sign up online to take part and post their finishing times which are then displayed on a live leader board, encouraging a competitive element to the challenge. Participants are encouraged to fundraise for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, the charity for bereaved British Forces children and all entry fees go to the charity. The SCOTTY challenge will use a targeted promotional campaign which will provide access for our brand partners to a very specific group of fitness enthusiasts around the UK. The Challenge will run from the 1st May until the end of August.

Scotty’s Network • As an Armed Forces charity Scotty’s has a significant following within the Armed Forces community with direct comms to many regiments, units, bases reaching a high percentage of our 197k personnel. • A paid for social media campaign is forecast to reach over 100,000 UK based CrossFit followers. • The charity has a strong relationship with SSVC (owners of Forces TV & BFBS) and features regularly in publications such as Soldier Magazine, Veteran’s World and the magazines of the Army, Navy and RAF Families Federations. • Scotty’s was an official charity of The Sun newspaper in December 2016 and enjoys favourable coverage from this and other national publications. • Scotty’s has an extensive social media following with extremely high levels of engagement – 64k Facebook, 6k Twitter, 1.5k Instagram, 5k Newsletter Subscribers. @ScottysLittleSoldiers

The Charity SCOTTY’S LITTLE SOLDIERS is a charity dedicated to supporting children & young people who have lost a parent whilst serving in the British Armed Forces. Inspired by the experience of Army widow Nikki Scott following the death of her husband Cpl.
