Our Vision for Every Child
Rooted in our Christian values, we are committed to ensuring that every child:
• Feels safe, happy, and valued, flourishing in a nurturing and inclusive environment where they are known and loved.
• Enjoys school life and plays an active, confident role within our school community.
• Receives high-quality teaching, learning, and enriching experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.

• Accesses a broad and balanced curriculum that is ambitious, engaging, and tailored to help them achieve their full potential.
• Is supported and challenged to be their best in all areas—academically, socially, and spiritually.
• Develops high aspirations, with the confidence and character to thrive now and in the future.
• Inspired by Jesus’ words in John 10:10, we aim for every child to “have life, and have it to the full.” Through our provision, we nurture children to

Our EYFS Organisation for 2025
• Our Reception Cohort will be one unit which includes a small number of Y1 children accessing the bespoke provision.
• There will be approximately 42 children with two teachers and 2-3 teaching assistants.

• The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) children will be taught by Mrs. Daly, Mrs. Winter, and Mrs. Parker, and supported by Mrs. Holmes and Mrs. Russell. The team will work closely together as part of a collaborative EYFS unit, ensuring consistency and a shared approach to learning and development.
• Children will be allocated a key adult teacher and class base to register in. The key adult will be the key person who you speak to about your child.
• One of these groups will include a small number of Year 1 children during the morning sessions. These Year 1 pupils will rejoin their peers in the Year 1 class for the afternoon sessions.
• We look forward to welcoming our new Reception children and working in partnership with you throughout their first year at school.

Our EYFS Organisation for 2025
One large cohort of 42 children with 2 teachers and up to 3 teaching assistants.
• Key Adult System: Each child is assigned a key adult for registration and pastoral care. The key adult is the person the parents maintain contact with about their child’s progress.
• Teaching Structure:
⚬ Two teachers deliver the curriculum throughout the day. Which means children will come into contact with all the staff in both class bases and the outdoor provision.
⚬ Up to three teaching assistants (TAs) provide additional support across the provision.

This setup supports continuity and strong relationships through the key adult model, while also allowing for flexible, collaborative teaching and support throughout the day.
It allows for children to be grouped appropriately and the curriculum to be

Our EYFS Vision: Growing Strong Foundations
In our Early Years Foundation Stage, we believe that every child is unique and develops at their own pace. That’s why we are committed to ensuring that each child is supported to progress as fast as they can and as slowly as they need.
This approach is fully aligned with the Department for Education’s Strong Foundations in the First Years of School guidance, which highlights the importance of secure, deep learning in the early years and the need for a curriculum that is both ambitious and developmentally appropriate We provide a rich, play-based curriculum that nurtures curiosity, independence, and a love of learning—ensuring that children build the knowledge and skills they need for future success. Our provision is designed to be flexible and responsive, enabling all children to thrive, regardless of their starting points.
Planned Transition Opportunities

We are committed to ensuring a smooth and supportive transition for every child starting school. To help children feel confident and familiar with their new environment, we have planned a series of transition activities:

• Over the coming weeks, our support staff will continue to visit nurseries where appropriate, offering further opportunities to connect with children and their key workers.
• ✅ Stay and Play Sessions – Wednesday 2nd July

Settling In
Stay-and-Play Sessions

• Home Visits or Transition Meetings
⚬ Staff may visit children at home or meet with nursery/key workers to understand each child’s needs and routines.
Visual Timetables and Routines

Starting School: A Message for Parents
• We understand that starting school can be a big step—not just for children, but for parents too. Your attitude and approach can make a huge difference in helping your child feel confident and secure.

• Talk Positively About School: Share excitement about the new experiences your child will have—new friends, fun activities, and learning adventures.
• Be Consistent: Establish clear routines, boundaries, and structures at home. This helps children feel safe and know what to expect.

• School is a Must: It’s important to communicate that school is not optional—it’s a part of everyday life, just like eating or sleeping.
• Manage Your Own Worries: Children are very perceptive. If you’re anxious, they may mirror those feelings. Stay calm and positive to help them feel reassured.
