When you arrive at school in the morning you will walk through our Student Entrance.

If you arrive between 8:00am and 8:20am, you can have a free breakfast, such as a waffle from the canteen.

At 8:20am you will head outside to the yard.

You will line up outside with your Form Group and Form Teacher at 8:30am.

When you are stood in the line you need to make sure that you are READY for the school day. This means that you will be wearing the correct uniform, any outdoor clothing will be removed (e.g. coats, hats & scarves) and you will face forward and await your teacher’s instructions.

You will follow your teacher to your form classroom.

Form time will last for 30 minutes and you should be dismissed at 9:00am which is the start of your first lesson (Period 1).

You can use the stairs or lift (if you have been given a lift key) to get to your form room.

After your first lesson is break where you will head to the Yard or Dining Hall.

At the end of break, the sounder will notify you to make your way to your next lesson.

You will know which lesson you will have next as you will follow your timetable.

If you find reading this timetable difficult to navigate then this is ok.

You can have a daily visual timetable instead.

Please note that timings will be different.

After your second lesson will be your third lesson (Period 3).

You will make your way to your next classroom.

Lunch is 30 minutes long and will take place between 12:00 and 1:50pm.

Lunch will be directly after a lesson.

During lunch time you will be able to eat your lunch in the dining hall and then go outside. There may extra-curricular activities that you can attend, or you can explore our brand new nature trail.

If you prefer a quieter space, then you can join the Year 7 Lunch Club.

After Period 4, you will have Period 5 which will be the last lesson of the day. When Period 5 has finished at 2:50pm, you will be able to go home.

However, there are lots of extra-curricular activities that you can attend after school. These classes are usually for an hour.

The clubs are very exciting and best of all they are FREE!!

We have lockers situated around the school building. You will receive more information about how to rent a locker before you start school.

You will have assembly once a week. Assembly takes place in the theatre. You will be given updates by your head of year. Occasionally your assembly will have a theme such as punctuality or to commemorate an event such as ‘mental health’ week.

There are gender neutral toilets and accessible toilets situated on each floor. These can be used before school, during lunch and at break times. If you need to use the toilet during lesson times for medical reasons, then you will be issued a toilet pass from your Pastoral Leader.

Occasionally you may come to our SEN department called Access and Achievement. This may be to have an intervention, to come to Lunch club or just to have a time-out.

SAFEGUARDING TEAM If YOU have any worries or need to talk to someone, the safeguarding team are here to help.

YOU can also talk to any adult in school.
