Lawrence Renes Lawrence Renes trat erstmals ins internationale Rampenlicht, als er 1995 kurzfristig für Riccardo Chailly am Pult des Concertgebouworkest Amsterdam einsprang. Der Mitschnitt dieses Konzerts war die Basis für einen Dokumentarfilm mit dem Titel »A Dream Debut«. Seitdem hat sich Renes’ Karriere rasant entwickelt, so dass er bereits auf Dirigate diverser internationaler Top-Orchester zurückblicken kann, darunter das Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, BBC Symphony Orchestra sowie das DSO Berlin. Von 2001 bis 2006 war Renes Generalmusikdirektor am Bremer Theater, wo er sich ein umfangreiches Opern- und Konzertrepertoire erarbeitete. Im 4. Aufführungsabend debütiert er nun am Pult der Staatskapelle. Lawrence Renes first came to international attention when he replaced Riccardo Chailly at short notice on the rostrum of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam. A video recording of the concert subsequently became the basis for a documentary entitled »A Dream Debut«. Renes’s career has since progressed at a dizzying pace: he has already performed as a guest conductor with diverse top orchestras, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the BBC Symphony Orchestra as well as the German Symphony Orchestra in Berlin. From 2001 to 2006 Lawrence Renes was music director of Bremer Theatre, where he was responsible for a wide-ranging operatic and concert repertoire. Now, at the 4th orchestral evening recital, he will make his Staatskapelle debut.
