Where the focus is on the people The right feature and appropriate information at the perfect moment – that’s what successful software should be able to offer. MAXIMAGO has made it its mission to develop precisely that type of user interface. TEXT: MARILENA STRACKE
The human being is at the centre of everything. Successful software is no exception, because the biggest challenge isn’t actually the technical implementation, as MAXIMAGO CEO Daniel Greitens explains: “The true challenge when developing a successful product is to understand the people and their needs.” MAXIMAGO focuses on the part which the users can actually see: the user interface. However, often this is only a small part of modern software projects. “Many project managers miss the fact that the user interface significantly shapes the impression regarding quality, performance and usability,” Greitens explains. That’s why his team of 40 specialists not only support clients during the user interface development but throughout the entire process – from product strategy to the 94 | Issue 76 | July 2019
development of the ideal user experience and ultimately to the software development. “We are convinced that successful software makes the users noticeably happy through providing optimised support,” Daniel Greitens sums up, on the company’s corporate philosophy. In order to develop the right product strategy, which meets all the project participants’ expectations and requirements, MAXIMAGO uses the AIM methodology. AIM collects all requests from every participant – from product managers and development teams to marketing experts and users – and turns these into clearly justifiable steps. “The AIM method is the essence of over ten years of experience in developing innovative software solutions for clients from medium-sized companies to large corporations,” Greitens says.
MAXIMAGO has received various awards for its successful and trusting collaboration with its clients. Most recently, it received the award ‘NRW Wirtschaft im Wandel’ (North Rhine-Westphalia’s economy in transformation). Economics minister Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart presented the award to flagship companies, which are leading by example regarding the structural change of North Rhine-Westphalia towards a diverse, strong and forward-thinking business location. www.maximago.de
