Toward the Beatification of Fr. Joseph Marchetti Celebrating the feast of the Servant of God, Fr. Joseph Marchetti, this December 14, 2015, a recall on the process of his canonization was unveiled. On October 13, 2015, the Congregation for the Causes of Saints at the Vatican held a specific meeting of theologians. The eight experts in theological matters, along with the Promoter of the Faith met to discuss the cause of the Servant of God Father Joseph Marchetti. This meeting was preceded by the meeting of the Historical Advisors, held last 22 January 2008. After the study of the material, the theologians were called to discuss and vote on the fundamental question of how Father Joseph Marchetti lived a heroic degree the theological virtues. - Faith, hope, charity - and the cardinal virtues prudence, justice, fortitude, temperance - and the other associated virtues. The result was very good: out of nine, seven votes were positive. However, two theologians, requested explanations on some points before giving definitive comment on the heroic virtues of Fr. Joseph Marchetti. Basing to those elements which have not so clear by the theologians, further study in response to the questions posed was developed and presented them to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints on November 4, 2015.

We hope that the theologians present the final vote for that, so that the content be organized and printed on a volume of about 150 pages, which will be delivered to the Cardinals and Bishops members of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, which also will meet to give their vote. This meeting is scheduled for the month of July 2016. And if their opinion be positive, the Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints will ask the Holy Father to proceed with the signing of the decree recognizing that Fr. Joseph Marchetti lived heroically the virtues and, from there we can invoke him with the title of Venerable. To make the process easier, a commitment on three things were sought to all devotees: first, to continue praying and spreading the knowledge and devotion to Father Joseph Marchetti; second, to report to me any favors received through the intercession of the Servant of God Joseph Marchetti, among people who are known to you or who come to you to entrust their special intercession of the Servant of God; third, to inform me urgently, without delay or spending a lot of time about the possible miracles obtained through the intercession of Fr. Joseph Marchetti.

Some indications from the the Superior General

On the Jubilee Year of Mercy Stated in the Circular #8 released by the Superior General, Sr. Neusa de Fatima Mariano in the celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy in the MSCS Congregation. Some elements can be taken and reflected upon through the year of jubilee are as follows: “We are being invited in our communities, among each of us and with the migrants, to be "Missionaries of Mercy" (No. 18). It is only in the acts of forgiveness, support, help, solidarity and love we become witnesses to others and attract other disciples through the mercy of the Savior. The mercy received and bestowed as a source of love, should be shared. We too, as protagonists of mercy, we must learn, as children, to offer mercy and to give forgiveness. Our communities are true spaces that enables us to experience mercy, for we are formed to practice mercy and gestures are accompanied with mercy. This means the living of the religious consecration whose center is the love of God making our communities centers of evangelical and missionary life (NC 42) participating in great work of evangelization, with commitment and apostolic missionary zeal, in fidelity to the Scalabrinian charism. MSCS Sisters, as consecrated, are called to live and witness the specificity of the Scalabrinian charism, a renewed awareness of the mission we have is own, through a new impulse and joy and fruitfulness in living. That the internal congregational reorganization, we are living in a special time, which invites us to a new lifestyle and organization, the dynamics of renewal from the Mercy Jubilee, how deep the geography will change the borders of our heart and will enable us to go beyond ourselves, expanding our horizons to the whole world and make us next on the roads of the world. Sisters, open the holy doors of our communities! We seek to live and witness the mercy first among us, and this will require: overcoming capacity of offenses received, prudence in speech, self-control, to avoid false judgments, seeking to exercise acts of kindness and generosity, an open attitude, kindness and docility front of the demonstrations and pardon requests. Let us make this year's mercy a time of preparation for the exercise of brotherly love in view of building new relationships and humanizing. 4

The second phase of the Visit will be in January at Spain & Africa

The Canonical Visit at the Province of Christ the King From September to November 2015, the Superior General, Sr. Neusa Fatima Mariano, had finished the first part of the canonical visit in Province of Christ the King, visiting the different communities in Braziil and Paraguay. This course was held in line with the recent provisions issued by the XIII General Chapter, which left us as the challenge to initiate a new action, transforming, prophetic, in personal and community dimensions. From the "perspective of Jesus Christ", we are challenged to resume with renewed zeal the guidelines of the Congregation in view of creative and dynamic processes of revitalization of our consecrated life. This is based upon Jesus Christ, five major realities intertwine constantly, as conditions essential for our spiritual and missionary fruitfulness: Jesus Christ, Migrants, Relations, Culture of Vocation and Internal Organization. These themes were been reflected during the canonical visitation.

Being able to find me and talk with several bishops, priests, competent authorities in different locations where the Sisters work, Lay Missionaries Scalabrinian, coordinators, educators, parents and students of our colleges, pastoral agents, employees, volunteers, migrants and people in general. I thank you God for the witness of each sister, and for all the good that each performs in different missionary presence in generous service to migrants. I warmly thank the brotherly, friendly and warm welcome to each of the sisters in the community, expressed through significant gestures and different ways. And in particular the openness and willingness of each of the proposal and schedule of the visit, in the certainty that will not be the unfinished work which the Lord himself began!

As expressed by the Superior General: "With a heart full of gratitude to God, I give thanks for conducting this first step will canonical visit Christ the King Province, which was indeed a time of grace and many blessings of God, and a valuable opportunity of living together, sharing, being with the Sisters and establish contact with the richness of the apostolic missionary diversity, where the Province is present.

The Challenges of today’s evangelization with the migrants:

Meeting of the Brazilian missionaries in Europe

On November 10 Sister Albertina Pauletti spoke about the "Challenges of today’s evangelization with the migrants at the Meeting of the Brazilian missionaries in Europe. Among the participants are the Scalabrinian Sisters from Belgium and Southern Italy. The meeting was held from 9 to 11 November in Rome. In the session, she underlined the words of Pope Francis. "The attention of the Church, who is the "mother", is manifested with particular tenderness and closeness to those who are forced to flee from his country and live in the dismissal and integration, she explained. This tension destroys people. The Christian compassionthat is "suffering-with passion" expresses itself mainly in helping those who are forced to go out of their countries, and, where necessary, to give voice to those whoa re voiceless and to do in chorus for those who are in pain and oppressed. 11

“This is an important task: to awaken the Christian communities in view of the many people marked by wounds, focus on their existence: violence, abuse of power, distant family, traumatic events, escape from their homes, uncertainty about the future of the refugees. These are elements that dehumanize and a must to attend by every Christian community and have a real attention."

Aside from them, there are two special personages : Sr. Marileda Baggio, provincial Superior of the Province of the Immaculate Conception and Sr. Neusa de FĂĄtima Mariano, superior general.
