In the Eyes of a Newcomer... Hi, I am Troy Frick, a new director on the Saskatchewan Angus Association Board of Directors. You can find my profile in this edition. I have been asked to write a feature article based on my view regarding who the board is, what it does and what it plans to do. Prior to my election to the board, I was acquainted with most of the members of the board. As I scanned the board table at the first meeting, I observed a diverse group of breeders from all over the province, a variety of ages and unique stages of their Angus/cattle careers. Those who play well together, work well together in order to build trust and foster open and productive relationships. It is evident that the 17 members of this board are proud of what they do,

passionate about what they do and are wonderful ambassadors of the Angus breed and agriculture. Our role as a board is to promote, support and connect within the industry. In order to accomplish these things, the board has facilitated and sponsored the annual Summer Angus tour. This tour happens at different regions throughout the province and is hosted by breeders Continued on page 10
