At Salpointe, we believe that wellness is more than health. It is a positive perspective on life achieved by fueling your body, engaging your mind and nurturing your spirit. Our daily block schedule creates an environment that enhances the richness of our curriculum and lessens the stress on our students by making time in the school day for a variety of academic, spiritual, wellness and enrichment opportunities.
Salpointe’s Wellness Program focuses on eight areas of wellness: career, emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual. Students have opportunities to participate in activities such as cooking classes, yoga, support groups, book clubs, prayer groups and intramural sports.
Salpointe is a Catholic school in the Carmelite tradition of prayer, community and service. Students of all religions are welcome and we encourage the development of faith and spirituality.
Campus Ministry provides support and programming for all students including monthly all-school Masses, moments of prayer and contemplation throughout the school day, Character Counts, morning Mass in the chapel and Kairos, four-day retreats that focus on spirituality, kindness and relationships with God, family and friends.

Helping others is good for the community and good for the soul. Students are expected to complete 10 hours of community service each year with the nonprofit(s) of their choice.

Salpointe Catholic’s nationally accredited STEM program prepares students to be effective critical thinkers, problem solvers, collaborators and communicators. Using project-based learning in collegiate-level innovation and fabrication labs , students design, construct, assemble, research and refine their projects.
» Students can earn the internationally recognized SolidWorks certification , making them highly marketable in the STEM industry.
» Robotics class uses 3D Modeling software, VEX Robotics systems and Arduino Microcontrollers.
» Students learn coding through various engineering projects.
» Salpointe’s STEM lab uses industry-standard equipment such as MIG and TIG welders, SawStop saws and fabrication equipment, as well 3D printers and CNC machines like those used in the aerospace, architectural, automotive and medical fields.

Salpointe Catholic’s Humanities Program is a challenging two-year honors program offered to highly motivated, qualified students. Established in 1978, the program provides an integrated, interdisciplinary, multicultural approach to prepare students to make a positive difference in our complex world. The Humanities Program is a rigorous crossdisciplinary curriculum that integrates literature, history, theology, and art history. Humanities courses are taught at the Honors and Advanced Placement levels. Access to the program is competitive.

Salpointe Catholic students represent the full range of academic, ethnic and economic backgrounds. Today’s student body of 1350 ethnically mirrors the diverse population of Southern Arizona. Half of our students come from Catholic partner schools and half from public, charter and other private schools. About 75% of our students are Catholic and 25% are of other faiths. More than half of our students qualify for some level of financial aid.

STEP 1: Apply online.
The first step to becoming a Lancer is to complete an online application form. Visit our website at www.salpointe.org/Admission , click on the “Apply Now” button and follow the instructions on the login page.
STEP 2: Complete all of the checklist items. Once the application has been completed, submit the following checklist items:

STEP 3: Take an entrance exam.
Entrance exams are offered in December and January. Only 8th graders are required to take placement tests.
STEP 4: Student and Parent Interview .

Salpointe Catholic strives to make a Catholic, college-prep education a reality for families from all corners of Southern Arizona. Regardless of economic, academic or ethnic backgrounds, 99% of Lancer graduates attend college. We encourage all students to apply for admission to Salpointe regardless of family income.
Salpointe financial aid award amounts are based on need and determined after the committee reviews all applications. Award amounts generally range from $500–$4500. You won’t know if you qualify unless you apply. Salpointe financial aid is awarded to current and newly admitted students on the basis of demonstrated need, as determined by factors such as income, family size, assets and liabilities. Families are required to re-apply on a yearly basis through FAIR for financial aid consideration. Salpointe strongly encourages its families to pursue additional funding opportunities that may be available for your student through the State of Arizona individual tax credit program.
The Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program currently provides tuition for all students in Arizona. The average ESA amount is $7500 per year.
