ACADEMICS Academic Requirements Ninth grade students enroll in a prescribed program of seven courses: English, World Language, Core Principles of Science or PLTW Pathway, Mathematics, Physical Education, World History, and Religion. World Language choices for 2020-2021 are French or Spanish. Levels in World Language and Mathematics can be challenged by taking placement tests at Salesian in the summer. In special circumstances, students may request a Visual and Performing Arts course to be substituted into their first year schedule. Guidance
All students meet with their academic guidance counselor during the first quarter. Parents can monitor student progress using our online Schoology software, which tracks homework, test scores, and grades. Schoology is updated by teachers regularly. Teachers use Schoology to communicate upcoming assignments and post important class materials.
