Testimonials “These women testified to me how their husbands have greatly changed since the beginning of the Program. Nakato’s husband is a teacher. She said her husband would leave home in the morning, comeback and go to the trading center then come back late in the night. He hardly spent time with his wife and children. He couldn’t share with his wife any family and plan and couldn’t listen or inquire anything from her. According to her, Kopya has changed greatly. Efulance and Nakato have a reason to thank Man Up and Go for creating a Life Transforming Discipleship class. God bless you. Actually for the first time today ever since I have been with Kopya, I saw him carry his wife and kid in a motor-bike to church.” Pastor Geofrey Ochari, Man Up Coordinator, pictured with Efulance Kirya, left, and Nakato Kopya, middle (Uganda)
“My son now knows many things because of CECCAI. We now come to church here (at IBG) and I feel very happy and thankful. Hozanna and Kendar love the children very much and all the staff here from the teachers, to the cooks, to those that clean. I am very thankful for CECCAI.” Maralis Martinez, mother of Drawing Misael Paula Martinez (4 years old - Dominican Republic)

Testimonials
“Jonathan is 7 years now and in primary one. His dad is jobless at the moment, he was a casual worker/laborer. Most of the time he indulges in alcohol and drunkenness. By the time we brought Jonathan on board this year, he was not going to school but had almost turned to be a notorious street child and known in the village of Masese. We thank God for the Super Saturday program, he used to come and attend and that’s how we got someone to sponsor him. Now that they see the church as a remedy, the dad encourages him to come for all the programs here. It has restored the hope which was lost of education. Jonathan wants to become a pilot when he graduates, very ambitious indeed.” Andrew Wakabi, Pastor, Gloryland Church (Uganda)

Testimonials “Richard Mutome sneaked in our Man Up Class of ‘Man as a Father.’ We were not comfortable with it but couldn't send him away, so we bared with him. He heard of the class from a neighbor. Today he came to give his life to Jesus. His reason was that he said he has found a group of men who can shape him to be a good father. Throughout his life being 35 years, he never sat down with his father on one table for a meal, not even a single day for a conversation. He said he grew up like a rejected child. His father had no time for any of his kids. He has gone through a lot because of that depression. He doesn't want his 5 kids to experience that. He confessed Christ as his personal Savior in church today. God bless Man Up and Go! Pastor Geofrey Ochari, Man Up Coordinator, pictured with Richard, right (Uganda)

Leadership Team Jeff Ford, CEO Jeff has served in this role since January 2015. He began his journey with Man Up and Go back in 2012 when he visited Ethiopia and Uganda. He fell in love with Africa, but also identified with the intrinsic vision of the organization. He desires to see men live the abundant life Christ offers in John 10, which includes “Manning Up” to their responsibilities as husbands, fathers, and leaders in the community. Jeff is passionate about Christ, the world’s most vulnerable, and in seeing men live out authentic masculinity. He graduated from Wheaton College (2000) with a BA in Interpersonal Communications and Business Emphasis, and played running back for the-then-Crusaders.
Luke Sawyer, Director of Operations Luke comes to Man Up and Go from working as the Country Director with Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the Dominican Republic. He has a passion for the Gospel of Jesus, justice, community development, multiculturalism, and authentic masculinity. He wrote his MA capstone project specifically on Latin American masculinity and the role of the father in both spiritual as well as socioeconomic development. His time in the Dominican Republic was spent developing men through the avenue of sports. He is excited to see men come to know Jesus, grow spiritually, develop socioeconomically, and become leaders both in the home, in the church, and in the community.
Christy Davis, Administrative Assistant Christy lives in Florida, and is a part time teacher and mom to three children. She loves reading, writing, and good coffee. She is passionate about speaking up for the fatherless because it’s a command given throughout Scripture, and because she believes it’s a way to live out the love that she has seen Christ first demonstrate to us through His adoption of us into His eternal family.
Shane Scott, Director of Development From his years as an inner-city Chicago math teacher and international school Principal in Jerusalem, Israel, Shane has developed a passion to serve those on the margin of our global society. At the age of 5, he and his family immigrated from Jamaica to the US and eventually settled in Clearwater, FL where he grew up before attending Wheaton College (IL) and meeting Jeff Ford. Through the eyes of his eldest daughter, Simone, Shane has been challenged to do more especially for the orphans and widows in our world. Her desire to eventually work for/own an orphanage and his relationship with Man Up members led Shane to go on his first Man Up trip in June 2016. Since then, Shane continues to seek opportunities to support MU&G in stewarding TIME: Talent, Influence, Money, and Energy he has been entrusted with for Christ and His kingdom. He and his wife Sarah have 3 children (ages 12, 7, and 5) and live in Clearwater, FL.

Every Church. One Family.
Every Church. One Family. Man Up chapters have sprung up in Florida, Missouri, and Kansas as men have become convicted about the words of James 1:27. In Florida, Man Up Tampa Bay operates an Every Church. One Family. initiative to mobilize and assist local churches to raise up at least one family from within their congregation to be a F.A.M. to a child in need (Foster parent, Adoptive parent, or Mentor). With nearly 5000 children in the Tampa Bay area having entered the dependency system in the last 12 months due to abuse, abandonment, or neglect, the Church MUST be the answer to this crisis.
