2 nd Audio Visual and Photo Harmony Competition

The 2nd Audio Visual and Photo Harmony Competition, organised by the North & East Midlands Photographic Federation, was held on Saturday 23rd March in the Sheldon Suite, Newark Showground.

This year there were 13 entrants, with 12 sequences in the Narrative section and 11 in the Photo Harmony Section. The judge, Tony Collinson, really helped to make this a very enjoyable day with his extremely constructive comments. His feedback gave considerable encouragement to the entrants, some of whom were entering sequences for the rst time in a competition.

There was a sense of déjà vu from 2018 as the two individual winners were the same as in 2018. Alan Tyrer, Cleethorpes Camera Club, won Best Narrative as well as the Audience Vote for Best Narrative with his very well constructed and produced sequence Day by Day.

Mike Bennett, of Grimsby Photographic Society, won the Best Photo Harmony Award for Underground. This sequence also received the Audience Vote for Best Photo Harmony.

The following entrants gained certicates in Narrative: David Cudworth (HC), Roy Moran (HC and C) and Brian Gromett (C), whilst the following gained certicates in the Photo Harmony section: Alan Tyrer and David Hollingsworth both Highly Commended and Mike Bennett, Brian Gromett and David Gibbins gained Commended certicates.
