Question 1: What is Pictorial Space according to Le Corbusier? And what are these pitted against?(Maximum 100 words) Firstly is the combination of promenade and prospect, it could survy the ridily flattended, hieratic geometryof the entry facade against the counter-point of the curing gallary wall which fills the foregroundof the perceptual world. Secindly is the seperate kind of knoeledge one can have proximate space by means of rotaion through it. It aganist the rigid frontality of all projects experienced from a distance and further, that frontality and distance combine to allow knowledge of the real only by inference.

WEEK 4 READING:

Question 1: Explain the difference between Pictoral (in this case perspectival) space and Projection? (Maximum 100 words) Pictoral point was always linked to afixed point of view, more flexible from an instrumental point of view, and more universal from a philosophic point of view. Axonometric projection, could transmit abstract information and was measurable and precise. Thus, persperctive space records waht already exists, and axonometric projection constructs which does not exit. The tecnique difference betwwen perspective and axonometric is the absence of a vanishing point.

Question 2: Where did Axonometric projection first arise, and why? (Maximum 100 words) Axonometric projection first arised in ancient visial practice, it is originally used to chart the three dimentional trajectories of artillery projectiles.
