Welcome readers to the “News from the Steeple Center”, a publication for 55 plus/seniors in the Rosemount community. The Steeple Center houses the majority of the programs and events for those 55 plus. Programs are offered by the City of Rosemount Parks & Recreation Department.

Whilethere,wewillpickupourWildlifeTourInterpreter,whowilltakeusalongthemigration corridoroftheMississippiRiver. Eachyearmigrationpatternschangedependingonfoodsourcesand weatherconditions,butourguidewillmakeadjustmentstotherouteinordertoviewspeciesofwaterfowl, raptorsandshorebirdsmovingfromtheirnorthernsummernestingareastowarmersouthernwintering grounds. Spectaculartundraswans,majesticeagles,ducksandgeeseusethismigrationcorridor. Stopsalong theroutewillextendintotheLaCrosseareaalongtherivervalley.Bringyourbinoculars! The typesofworkinvolvequilting,embroidery,woolwork, needlepoint,crossstitch,hardanger,knitting,crocheting, crewel,woolfeltingandanyothertypesoffiberart.
