Robert Gattereder, General Manager, Porsche Brighton and Chief Executive Officer of Preston Motors Group thanked PCV members for being such excellent ambassadors for the Porsche brand. Melanie Treloar Vice President and Social Committee member introduced special guests Courtney Prince, Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Driver and Carter Fox 944, Challenge Driver and provided members with details of both their career backgrounds and achievements. Courtney Prince Courtney’s love of racing began at the age of five with Go Karting then at fifteen she joined team Sonic Motor Racing Services, and raced a Formula Ford (open wheeler). Courtney then pursued the opportunity to race in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge and achieved the following results: - 2021 Philip Island 3rd place. (held the lead position most of the race in rain on a heavy track!) - 2021 Sydney Motorsport Park, 5th place (limited experience on circuit.)
years in the PCV motorsport competition PCV member, keenly followed the Porsche Le Mans, ‘The Green Hell’ also the 1980’s Transaxle era. Focused on racing in the Porsche 944 Challenge Series, Carter steadily saved and in 2021 purchased his 944 transaxle. However, disaster struck, and four months before his first race scheduled at Sandown, February this year, Carter was hit by a car and he suffered a badly broken lower leg. Luckily, he sufficiently recovered to compete at finishing 11th place! At the March race at Winton Carter finished 8th in his the car due to a head gasket problem. Courtney has developed skills with the ability to drive the car hard and fast; pushes hard on the track, avoids errors and keeps focus to stay on the pace! When not racing Courtney is busy working in the family business; providing driver training for Mercedes Benz, and proactive in FIA ‘Girls on Track’ that give support to young women wishing to pursue career pathways in motorsport. She is a volunteer for ‘Women Who Race’ (sponsored by Porsche Centre Brighton) and on their track days assists as an instructor.
