New! Taiko drumming has often been compared to martial arts for drums and is considered one of the highest forms of music culture from Japan. You might compare it to the drum line concept we know in our country - yet it is very successful for people who have never played percussion before or even had any musical training. Fee is $45 for individual, $60 for couple or 2 family members.

This is also a great class for runners training for the Blue Ridge Marathon or Half Marathon; speed work fits right in with a training schedule for the April 24th races. Take advantage of being able to get your miles on a forgiving indoor track. The 1/8 of a mile track will be good training space to run your intervals and track your progress. Instructor: Mike Roth, Roanoke County Fire & Rescue Lieutenant.
